We have decided to take on this problem strategically by setting up criteria for possible solutions
The first criteria is to identify a thriving industry that can assimilate as much talent as possible within the shortest timeframe.
The second is the industry has to support high local demand as well as international exports.
OUR FINDINGS
The two criteria points have led us to the Nigerian Film Industry also known as Nollywood.
But what can we do to stimulate growth and create more opportunities in Nollywood?
Nollywood suffers greatly from digital piracy, so what if we can solve the piracy problem to enable film producers to see more ROI?
Then Producers will have more funds to make films, there will be more demand for talent, and businesses that support the film Industry will also flourish.
If Nollywood operates at capacity, how many jobs can we create?
A thousand jobs? Ten Thousand? The opportunity is huge.
